This Month’s Feature Presentation: Branching Out: Lessons from Remote Branches for the Future of All Banking Spaces
As physical branches are scaled back, the current state of access to banking services in rural communities provides a useful lens for the future of access to banking, generally, and an opportunity to rethink what remote means and how branches might evolve. Using a speculative futures approach, we look ahead to an increasingly disrupted world and explore the question, ‘What if the future of banking depended not on fewer branches, but on reframing what they are and what they’re for?’
